LEAD San Diego selects Mind Treasures as one of the six community programs

LEAD San Diego selects Mind Treasures as one of the six community programs which will be working with their Class of 2009 Leadership Action Teams.

The assigned Action Team (consisting of local corporate and community executives), will work with Mind Treasures from November 2008 through May 2009 to create strategic partnerships between Mind Treasures and community organizations to bring financial literacy programs to the low- or moderate-income / traditionally underserved communities in the San Diego County.

Upon completion of the work, the LEAD action team, working in collaboration with Mind Treasures, will have the opportunity to present a next-phase investment opportunity at a “showcase” event on June 12, 2009. The event will attract a diverse audience of corporate giving programs, private foundations, community leaders, policymakers and individual philanthropists from throughout the San Diego region. The showcase is intended to match regional philanthropy with worthy community-based projects and programs that have benefited from the volunteer efforts of LEAD class members.
